DEAL DEAD – Gamestop hardcodes against GC to Amazon GC

Introduction

A reader told me on 2/15/18 that a memo went out to Gamestop stores that they are no longer allowed to accept their own gift cards for Amazon gift cards.  A day later, the registers were hardcoded to block this conversion.  Apparently Amazon cash has also been blocked as well.  You can figure out what the play was yourself.
