For the longest time, when you were printing an Ebay shipping label through Paypal, Paypal would force you to use your balance. However they seem to have changed that recently and now lets you pick your credit card. About damn time!

Is this change just for business accounts? I changed over to credit card for primary funding a month ago and Paypal still uses the balance to pay for shipping.
No Veronica, I have both a business and a personal (that accepts Ebay) and both have the option to select method of payment. However, the screenshot above is for business. The personal one only has paypal balance and bank account (I forgot if that account has a cc tied to it.) I can check later if you’re interested.
Thank you for the reply. I have the personal Paypal account and it does allow credit card as primary payment for goods and services online. However, my experience with purchasing shipping through Ebay for items I have sold, has Ebay paying the shipping fees with my Paypal balance not the credit card that I designated as primary. If it works only for business accounts then I will have to upgrade my Paypal account.
Must have been in the last 24 hours then. Good news. Now if they would let me choose to use my credit card as my PRIMARY source of funds instead of my bank account, that would be great.
For quite some time now some people have been able to use their CC as primary for ALL purchases. My account switched over to CC as primary about a month ago. So my small PP balance is never used anymore.
I was going to test a purchase, but didn’t want to accidentally buy something with my balance. Lmk if you guys can make purchases with cc while holding a balance
Yup, even with a balance in my PP account it defaults to the CC now for USPS and for ebay purchases.
