Ebay removed from Microsoft GCM
Twitter user @HenryGeorge1776 tweeted me on Tuesday, June 28th saying Ebay had been removed from the Microsoft Earn program. I’m not sure if I was responsible for this shutdown, but it would be a big coincidence. I can tell you that the other GC I had bought from the site also got removed, so I think any kind of volume on that site is making Msft (or GCM) pull the cards. I honestly didn’t think it was that big of a deal. Update – it’s back up by Friday night (probably the same time MPX came back.)
Ebay also removed from United MPX (but came back)
Twitter user @Roar_Singh tweeted me on Thursday June 30 in the afternoon saying Ebay has been removed from MPX. I had bought earlier that morning, but it seems around early afternoon PST, it’s now gone…and probably for good. This is definitely something going on here…
After I wrote all that, Twitter user Jonathanfweiss let me know that it’s back as of Friday night. That’s when I checked Msft Earn and it came back there as well. I think going forward, it’s safe to say buying Ebay GC in quantity is fragile.
Discover Credit Limit
A couple of days ago, Discover sent an email to my wife telling her that her CL had risen from 15K to 20K. Apparently others got it too, so it seems like a systematic push. Not sure what their reasoning is, but a higher CL doesn’t hurt.
Jetblue Match
I’m sure you’ve heard of it already. I matched on Saturday night. I matched my wife Tuesday morning and got confirmation on Friday morning. Now we’ll need to fly in and out of somewhere on a weekend to bank these points.
