Microsoft Earn program has added GiftCardMall – 5% off on gift cards

Introduction

I had written about the Microsoft Earn Program almost a year ago and it’s still in beta.

While it’s technically only available in 3 states, I’ve heard from people that have been able to join without living in those states.  I’m sure you can figure out a way to join.  The link to join -> https://earn.microsoft.com/ (it is a referral link where I’ll earn a whopping $5)

 

Microsoft Earn program introduces gift cards

I randomly logged on about a month ago and saw that banner.  The link leads you to here – https://microsoft.giftcardmall.com/.  A quick recap on how the program works:

1. You add credit cards to your profile (Visa and Mastercard only)
2. When you make a charge on that credit card, Microsoft then gives you credit
3. The max credit is $2,000 per year.
4. You redeem the credits at a Microsoft store or at the online store (I have not done either)

 

Earn at Restaurants

There are also local restaurants now too.  The restaurant 99 Park is delicious by the way (try their grilled octopus.)  I’m not sure if this double dips with the Rewards Network dining or not.

 

My Experience

I bought a gift card last month and immediately got a text message saying, “Congrats!  You earned 5% in Earn Credits from your purchase at Earn Gift Card Mall.”  It also showed up in transaction history.

 

Conclusion

I’m not sure how to cash in on my Earn credit yet.  I may just buy another Oculus Rift to flip (or heck, to keep.)  I’ll cross that bridge down the road.  Anyway, this is a good way to earn 5% + any credit card earnings (a 2% cashback card or maybe some TYP…)
