Private label product
Oh I forgot to mention the sample of my PL product came in. Better than expected, but not 100% because the color was a bit different than I expected. I told my supplier that and they took a photo of a color swatch and the product and basically told me to pick a color. SWEET! The minimum order is 200 units; I know I should go for 1000, but this keeps my risk low and I’m okay with it potentially selling out and removed on FBA (hey that’s not the worst problem to have.) Will write a longer post later.
Misc News
- Elon tweeted this. I was guessing 25% of people ordering 2. Reader Micah said he read somewhere that possibly 40% could cancel if they don’t get the tax credit. It would surprise me if it got that high. I think once they do the 2nd launch (where they reveal more features of the car,) people will just say, “Screw it, I still want the car.”
Over 325k cars or ~$14B in preorders in first week. Only 5% ordered max of two, suggesting low levels of speculation.
- House Flipping – You guys remember my foray into house flipping. A friend of a friend posted this the other day. I loved reading about the auction process. I felt like I was there.
- Space X finally lands on the barge. I actually randomly watched this live. Found the link 3 minutes before takeoff and saw the subsequent landing like 5 minutes later. It was unreal watching it live. I thought the rocket would tip over due to the ocean waves, but it stayed. Elon is on fire this week! Pulling off 2 unbelievable feats in a span of a week is just that… unbelievable.
