How I did on those Trailblazers Warriors game 6 tickets

After the last NBA game reselling debacle, I had sworn off sports ticketing. However, like a moth to a flame, I couldn’t help myself. So first off, why did I go with this game? Well, the Trailblazers haven’t gotten this far in the playoffs in quite a long time. Secondly, they are facing off against the best team this decade. I also decided to with game 6 instead of game 3 because while game 3 would still be a good flip, if the team goes down 0-2, while it’ll be their first home game of the series, it’s gonna dampen the mood. If it makes it to game 6, then one team is gonna be 3-2 and either way, I think the fans would be excited. This is also why the Trailblazers aren’t stupid and priced the game 6 tickets about 10% higher than game 3.

I wound up getting a pair AN HOUR LATE (no bueno) in section 303, which was the closest to mid court that I could find that late. You see, all of section 300 were priced at $200 initially, but it went up to $220 due to TM’s dynamic pricing. Thus, for a basketball game, you want as close to mid court as possible. The pair cost me $470 all in.

I then re-listed the tickets back on TM immediately for a price of about $350 to the buyer. Half an hour later, they sold for a takehome price of $630, so a gain of $160 or 34% ROI.

Now I’m just rooting that they make it to a game 6 because if it doesn’t, then my sale and initial buy is nullified and all of this was for naught.
