I was given a tip a few months ago that maybe the Poopsie Surprise Unicorn MIGHT be the hot toy this year, kinda like the Fingerlings last year (well only if you sold before Christmas.) I had bought maybe a dozen of these from Target, Walmart, Amazon, etc. I had phone alerts going too and would have to buy in almost a minute before it would go OOS. These things were about $55 after tax. I’ve tried to sell some on Ebay and locally for $75 and no bites. I think a few people sold some for maybe a bit more a month ago. However, these days, they are pretty easy to find. Even so, the problem is that they are pretty big. Imagine the size of a basketball. Think about the shipping costs!
Luckily I was able to return to Walmart and Target pretty easily. For Amazon, I was able to do a free drop-off return for 3 of them, but the other 3 passed the return period, so I’ll have to eat a bit of a loss on them. Lessons Learned – when speculatively buying a Christmas hot toy, try to stick to more friendly return policy stores like Target and Walmart.
