Another update on my Amazon saga. Hopefully, it’s the last. nTonight, while I was logging into my Amazon account to cancel my Playstation Classic preorders, I went to check if my GC balance would get refunded. Lo and behold, I see this:

Well it seems they redeemed a gift card in the amount of $1280.26 to my account. That sounds like how much was outstanding when they axed my account. Once again, I haven’t sent in any receipts or anything. Just miraculously re-appeared. And no, my blog site email isn’t the same as my Amazon email address, and I don’t know anyone who works in the department that would magically help me out to resolve. I spoke to my other friend who had a similar shutdown and she got some credit back today too. So maybe they figured out it was all an accident and now putting things back where they belong. Either way, I went ahead and bought 3rd party gift cards to clear out my account. I’ll let the account simmer down for a while. Maybe only load GC’s to my wife’s account for the next year or so.
