Paypal knows and Paypal DGAF

Two days ago, I wrote about a Paypal scam in regards to waiting 5+ months to file an ‘item not delivered’ chargeback, but since USPS only stores 4 months of history, you are both SOL.  I got on a chat with Paypal and asked about it.  This is their response:

Furthermore, I wrote about a USPS redirect scam a few months ago.  I asked Paypal how to avoid that scam and this was their response.

So yes, Paypal knows about Paypal DGAF.

I also asked USPS how I can stop redirects, and they said it wasn’t possible (even if I add signature tracking,) which is shocking to me but also not surprising.

  1. Maybe the work around is to not add the tracking to the ebay file until after it is delivered (if they don’t know tracking they can’t adjust it I assume). But you would lose out on the discount going that route.

I still can’t believe someone can change the course of a package that didn’t pay for the delivery but it is USPS so I guess I shouldn’t be surprised.
