Why you should now create multiple logins for AMEX Offers

Introduction

We all know about the multi-browser trick with AMEX Offers already.  Well, it seems RAT is outsmarting us by slowly releasing AMEX offers.  A reader told me yesterday that AMEX “slow-rolled” that Office Depot/Max offer. Meaning on Monday morning, he had the offer on say 5 cards.  By the afternoon, he had it on 8 cards.  If all 8 cards were under the same login, and he had added the offer in the morning, he wouldn’t have gotten the 3 extra offers (well without extra leg work.)  We saw it happen with the Sam’s Club offer back in December and now this offer.

Outsmart the RAT

So by choice or by necessity, it seems the best path going forward is to create separate logins for every AU card.  This way, if AMEX slow rolls future offers, you won’t miss out.  I know it’s a pain, so binge watch a TV show and multitask; just not ’13 Reasons Why’ because you don’t want to make yourself depressed.

  1. @milesperday:disqus You watched 13 Reasons Why? We just got an email yesterday from school superintendent about that show and kids watching it….

  2. I already have around 10 Amex login . My android pay credits posted correctly yesterday and today . I also got Nike and Kate spade correctly this week. Only boxed credit has not yet posted .

  3. Also if you wait till later a lot of the times it is already full.

I will probably not do it though – I already have too much stuff going on to do 16 different log ons when I want to do stuff with amex haha.

  4. Are your AMEX offer credits even posting lately? Within the past 2 or 3 weeks, I’ve used about 12 offers or so and only 2 of the credits actually posted (the boxed offer, but the same offer also DIDN’T post on 2 of my other cards)…. I’m starting to get a bit worried…

      1. No, I only received the email on the 2 credits that actually did post, the others received nothing (although I’m 100% certain that I met the terms and conditions of the offer). There are also quite a few datapoints coming in on the AMEX offers thread on Flyertalk, but I’m shocked that none of the bloggers have picked up on this issue yet, something is definitely going on with AMEX…. ordinarily I would just dismiss it and wait a while, but considering all of the other recent negative changes, especially the recently announced delay with the Biz Plat 50% rebate, I’m really starting to worry about AMEX offers… I hope they don’t make us wait 90 days until after the offer ends…

        1. That has happened to me in the past, and every time I did not receive the reimbursal. That success email is crucial. Without it you get nothing.

          1. Yes, I completely agree with you based on my own experiences. However, this appears to be a fairly widespread problem within the last 2 weeks or so as evidenced on Flyertalk, but none of the bloggers seem to have picked up on it yet. I just hope this isn’t indicative of a general slowdown in the processing of offers, or some other RAT-related crap…

          2. This has been reported by everyone on my facebook hackers group. I have done 4 offers and only 1 got paid (got the email) I stopped pursuing anymore until it is corrected. Same thing happened a year or so ago too – pretty annoying. I don’t want to have to ask for manuals for the same offer on 8 different cards so I am laying low till I get these paid and give it a few weeks for them to get it together.

I did get a second email on my boxed offer (one for my wife got instant I did not) like 4 days after I did it but it has been another 3 days and still no credit – weird.

          3. I think i got my boxed offer email after more than a week . Credit has still not posted.

          4. I have seen delayed postings like the Air France one. I wouldn’t worry too much about the emails. Double check that you have the offer marked as redeemed in your account. If you do and you don’t see the credit, if it’s been weeks, then I’d ping them.

          5. For me it does not say redeemed until I get the email. For airfare maybe it doesn’t work till you take the flight?
