Another reason to have an Ebay store – $25 of free supplies

Introduction

A buddy of mine was telling me the current presale prices for the Nintendo Switch on Ebay.  He told me that they were going for $435 and that after fees, he’d net $375.  I thought that was a bit odd since it seemed really high.  Sure enough, it’s because he has no Ebay store and gets hit with an 11% final value fee of $43 whereas my Ebay store subscription ($20 a month) would only hit me with a 4.5% fee of $17.  So for that reason alone, you should consider paying for the store subscription.

$25 of Free quarterly supplies

I think they started this program back in the fall of 2016 because I remember getting the coupon code in the email and saying, “What the hell is this?” and then proceeded to delete it.  Well I got another one back in January and this time I read it.  Sure enough, they give you a coupon code and tell you go to here to buy the supplies.

I decided to buy the 12 rolls of packaging tape for free after the coupon.  I didn’t choose the envelopes or boxes since I reuse those from my Amazon orders.  The tape is fairly sticky and is definitely better than the cheap tape that I used to buy.

Conclusion

If you sell any kind of volume on Ebay (at least $500 in electronics per month), then I suggest you get a basic store.  The free shipping supplies is gravy!
