A better snorkel mask

tribord

Introduction

I follow snorkel mask technology as much as I follow Vietnam Airlines’ Lotusmiles loyalty program, which means never until someone brings it up. Anyway when I was planning my trip to the Seychelles, a reader told me about this new snorkel mask.  Being the cheapskate that I am, I found one of those Amazon review programs that gave me a discount on a private label one for ~$30.
I finally used it on my trip, and I have to admit – it’s awesome. You’re able to get a full 180 degree view and not have to worry about water seeping into your mask. You also don’t have to worry about water flowing into the blowhole to give you a mouthful of water. You can breathe through either your mouth or nose. I did try to dive with it, but the mask sucks to your face and does NOT want to go under water, so keep that in mind.
Regardless if you like to snorkel, this is a must buy.  No need to buy the Tribord one; just browse around for a cheaper private label version.

  1. Come on, not even a hint as to which one? How about your amazon reviews name? I looked and see a bunch of similar designs. One had a comment that they are all made in China so basically the same with different names.

    1. The one I bought has been removed from amazon for some reason and the reviews site are all pretty much shut down to the amazons new rules about reviews. Just get any one that looks the same.

      1. They are all pretty much dead now that amazon changed the reviews policy. I was using amzreviewtrader I think.

  2. Been using the Tribord (the original) for a few years now. Loved it so much I bought one for each of the kids too. Its great for them to learn how to snorkel. Yes, the downside is they are not good for diving.
