PSA – Be careful about the multi tab browser trick with AMEX offers

Introduction

Most of you already know about the AMEX multi tab browser for AMEX offers, so I won’t rehash.   Last week, I had logged into my account, then added a new card to my account.  Immediately after (w/o logging out first,) I fired up some tabs on my browser to add some new AMEX offers.  After a couple of cards, I thought something was a bit off.   I’m sure you can spot it:

Lessons Learned

1. When adding a new card to your account, it’s best to LOG OUT and log back in.
2. Be very careful when you are adding AMEX offers.  When you add it, it should list the last 5 digits.  Make sure it’s the one you are expecting.
