Kaskade tickets and a little more about MS information

Kaskade tickets

Thanks everyone for trying.  You can read in the comments how hard they were to get.  They lasted about 4 seconds according to one reader (probably felt shorter than that if you actually tried.)  I actually was able to get another pair too.  Must be luck. In total, I got 2 pairs myself from both the pre-sale and public sale, and you guys were able to get 3 more for me.  My friends all struck out.  Anyway, I then contacted a buddy to see if he wanted to go, and he asks me when.  I told him the date and he goes, “Uhhh we’re in Hawaii for OUR WEDDING THAT YOU ARE IN!”  KHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.  FML RIGHT?!?!  HOW COME NO ONE CHECKED THE DATES BEFORE WE DID THIS?!?  I blame it on my wife who got too overly excited for Kaskade and totally forgot to check the dates.  Anyway, I’m just going to give my tickets to friends who are in town.  I thought about going to the SF show, but then realized those are the wedding dates too.  HAHAHAHA.  It wasn’t meant to be!

MS information sharing and the unicorn

A couple of people have asked me about the 30K SPG unicorn.  I told it to the 3 people who bought me tickets, and they knew pieces of it.  They just didn’t connect the dots.  And that’s the thing about MS.  If you have a working Kate and a Kroger next to each other, you can MS over 100K a month easily.  I would beat that horse until it was dead!  But unfortunately for me and the Seattle people who have broken Kates and even Walmart/Kroger that wants name on the debit card, we’ve had to adapt.  And when you adapt, you find new MS avenues.  I have probably 8 different ways that I MS.  I don’t and can’t rely on one method.  Because if say AGC comes crashing down, I pivot to something else.  The person who only does WMT doesn’t have to go find other MS avenues, and I don’t blame him.  I’d be doing the exact same thing.  If I was in an MS friendly area, this blog wouldn’t exist because you’d get tired of hearing about my trips to Walmart.  My point is…if you only have 1 liquidation avenue, no matter how hard you hit it, you don’t need to put in the time and effort to think of other avenues.  Don’t take that as a negative.  It’s just human nature.

This past week, a couple of deals popped up and died quickly.  I actually learned about the CVS cancer free cards a couple of days before it went viral.  Now who do you think found out about this?  Certainly it’s not the guy who is doing 100K a month at Kroger/WMT.  It’s the person who saw these new “Cancer Free” cards at CVS and tried to buy them and BOOM!  They rang up as FEE-FREE.  And they’re smart enough not to post it on FT or Reddit because that would just kill the deal quicker.  I was also told about the AA ex-GRU deal from some friends.  What?  You don’t live in Brazil?  Well, did you try to plug in your city to another city using the Brazilian AA.com?  I was able to book 2 business class flights from Seattle to Madrid next year for $1,000 per person ROUND TRIP!  I don’t take credit for this one though, and even I didn’t think outside the box of even trying Seattle to Madrid.  The point of this post is that you really have to network and think outside the box in this game.  So while I may not have discovered the CVS cancer-free cards or the ex-GRU deal, I’ve found other deals that I’ve shared with people, and they in turn have shared with me these deals.  You really do have to network in this game with these deals.  See my levels of MS information. And that right there is the true unicorn.  Not ONE specific deal (since it will die), but a group of like-minded people with the drive and desire to find these hidden deals.

Don’t know how to find this group?  Do you think outside the box?  Have you spent hours researching online looking for unicorns?  Did you already get an ATT More card, and already know 3X sites and want to compare notes with other people?  Are you the type to ask, “Hmmm can I be a teen even through I’m already the parent on a NW Buxx account?”  Have you tried chicken feet before?  If so, shoot me an email and let’s talk (not about disgusting chicken feet.)

    1. Word x 2. I love networking. 🙂
This is a great post, because it doesn’t spoon feed, it teaches to fish. Everyone should do a little bit of work, and collectively we can do a lot.

  1. I love chicken feet! 😉 I also booked 2 MR tickets us-gig/gru in J, but they are still pending… Hopefully they’ll go through because I am already making plans to visit Iguassu falls!
I am very interested in your unicorn as well as MSing 100k a month with kate/kroger combo. I guess I need to look into what card I can feed with kate besides BB/Serve. I do have a sporadically working kate here, and the staff at MS here are quite nice and easy-going here.

    1. Yeah mine is still pending too. The AA twitter team makes us believe it’ll be honored but who knows.

  2. Lol… I’ve never left a dim sum place without having the chicken feet.
I’ve gotten 3x from the AT&T card a few times. I’m in on the NW. However the new AGC developement is giving me great anxieties. I just blew my 150k spg stash on the Gritti Palace next week. I assume your unicorn is still alive after that TCB debacle. Your 30k spg proclamation piqued the interest of a lot of people.

  3. where can i find some info on the AA Gru? deal probably dead, but would still like to read about it. Like you said it gives me ideas and open my mind to think out of the box.
    Thanks!

  4. Hey Vinh! I shot you an email yesterday morning after getting the tickets, but never got a reply (admittedly, I didn’t include the PDF of the tickets which might be the reason).
